Bel Air develops cost effective processes for finishing Swiss Machined and CNC machined parts of varying sizes and all materials across a wide range of industries. Bel Air uses these processes in conjunction with media and/or process compounds to create high quality finishes on all machined parts
This part was created at a multi axis CNC machining center. The manufacturer was removing burrs & sharp edges by hand originally. Hand finishing large amounts of parts is a time consuming and not very cost effective process. Bel Air was able to reduce the cost of labor associated with hand finishing by providing a more consistent higher quality finish using a centrifugal disk finisher.
These are miniature medical parts made from a very soft malleable steel alloy, kovar. In order to eliminate the hand deburring of these parts, Bel Air was able to make the finishing process more efficient by using a centrifugal barrel finisher to deburr the parts.
